Sharon Hecker (Independent Scholar)

Sharon Hecker’s current research focuses on internationalism, transnationalism and artistic exchanges in late-nineteenth century Italian art. She is completing a book on Medardo Rosso and fin de siècle internationalism, to be published in late 2015. She is also working on the formation of national audiences for art in Italy in relation to models of French art criticism and spectatorship, as well as cultural mediators in Italy and international art market opportunities in relation to serial sculpture.
